Duby p\u0159e\u017e\u00edvaj\u00ed po stalet\u00ed, a proto kdy\u017e se chcete napojit na star\u00e9 bohy, sta\u010d\u00ed meditovat v jej\u00edch bl\u00edzkosti. Dub m\u00e1 hlubok\u00e9 ko\u0159eny a \u010dasto roste na k\u0159i\u017eovatce vodn\u00edch pramen\u016f, proto do n\u011bj ude\u0159\u00ed blesk \u010dast\u011bji, ne\u017e do jin\u00fdch strom\u016f. Pro Kelty symbolizoval dub- duir – slunovraty, kdy p\u0159ib\u00fdvaj\u00edc\u00ed slune\u010dn\u00ed paprsek z\u00e1pas\u00ed s ub\u00fdvaj\u00edc\u00edm rokem v boji na \u017eivot a na smrt. Strom byl pova\u017eov\u00e1n za br\u00e1nu, kter\u00e1 umo\u017e\u0148ovala p\u0159echod mezi ob\u011bma polovinami roku. Slovan\u00e9 uct\u00edvali Peruna, Germ\u00e1ni Donara a Keltov\u00e9 Taranise a Dagdu. Shrom\u00e1\u017ed\u011bn\u00ed rodu se konalo pod posv\u00e1tn\u00fdm dubem. N\u00e1\u010deln\u00edk nebo sta\u0159e\u0161ina usednul p\u0159\u00edmo pod dubem, obli\u010dejem k v\u00fdchodu. V Novgorodu st\u00e1la socha Peruna a na jeho po\u010dest ho\u0159el dnem i noc\u00ed ohe\u0148, \u017eiven dubov\u00fdm d\u0159evem. Dub byl ve star\u00e9m \u0158\u00edm\u011b zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b zasv\u011bcen\u00fd Jovovi a kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 z Alby nosili tradi\u010dn\u00ed dubovou korunu. Jedna z nejslavn\u011bj\u0161\u00edch v\u011b\u0161t\u00edren byla dubov\u00e1 v\u011b\u0161t\u00edrna v Dodon\u011b. Pod do donsk\u00fdm dubem sed\u011bly t\u0159i \u017eeny, kter\u00fdm se \u0159\u00edkalo holubice. V extatick\u00e9m stavu naslouchaly \u0161um\u011bn\u00ed list\u00ed, z n\u011bj\u017e sp\u0159\u00e1daly v\u011b\u0161tby. Dub b\u00fdval sv\u011bdkem bo\u017esk\u00e9ho spojen\u00ed Boha Dia a bohyn\u011b Diany (Junony) a tradi\u010dn\u00edch oslav letn\u00edho slunovratu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir James Fraser ve sv\u00e9 knize Zlat\u00e1 ratolest p\u00ed\u0161e: Kr\u00e1l, kter\u00fd sed\u00ed na tr\u016fnu pod dubem, byl pova\u017eov\u00e1n za inkarnaci slune\u010dn\u00edho boha, d\u00e1rce plodnosti. Z dubov\u00e9ho d\u0159eva se zhotovovaly br\u00e1ny, prahy, z dub\u011bnek barva na vlasy a textilie. Dubov\u00e1 k\u016fra m\u00e1 sv\u00edrav\u00e9 \u00fa\u010dinky, a proto byla \u00fa\u010dinn\u00e1 p\u0159i hemeroidech, ekz\u00e9mech a z\u00e1n\u011btech d\u011blohy. Ji\u017e v Edee je doporu\u010den\u00e1 dubov\u00e1 k\u016fra proti \u00faplavici. K\u00e1va z pra\u017een\u00fdch \u017ealud\u016f m\u00e1 posiluj\u00edc\u00ed \u00fa\u010dinky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
